Set realistic goals for sustainable changes

When I started my fitness journey, I wanted to lose weight and get down to 132 pounds. I was able to achieve that goal for a short period of time, and it was miserable. I was constantly hungry and tired, and I didn’t feel good about myself.

I realized that I needed to set more feasible timelines and achievable targets. I started by focusing on making small, sustainable changes to my diet and exercise routine. I also started paying attention to how I felt, rather than just focusing on the number on the scale.

Over time, I was able to lose weight and improve my overall health and fitness. I’m now at a healthy weight of 154 pounds (160-ish during my period), and I feel better than ever.

I know that everyone’s fitness journey is different, but I believe that anyone can achieve their goals if they set realistic expectations and make consistent effort. Here are a few tips that have helped me along the way:

  • Set realistic goals. Don’t try to lose too much weight too quickly. Aim for a healthy rate of weight loss, such as 1-2 pounds per week.
  • Make sustainable changes. Don’t try to overhaul your entire diet and exercise routine overnight. Start by making small changes that you can stick with over time.
  • Pay attention to how you feel. Don’t just focus on the number on the scale. Pay attention to how you feel physically and mentally. If you’re not feeling good, make some adjustments to your routine.
  • Be patient. It takes time to achieve your fitness goals. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results immediately. Just keep working hard and you will eventually reach your goals.

My purpose is to be an independent, healthy, and flexible old lady for as long as I can. I know that fitness is an important part of achieving this goal, but it’s not the only part. I also need to eat a healthy diet, get enough sleep, and manage my stress levels.

I’m not going to lie, it’s not always easy to stay on track with my fitness goals. There are times when I want to give up. But I always remind myself of my purpose, and that keeps me going.

I believe that anyone can achieve their fitness goals if they set realistic expectations, make sustainable changes, and stay focused on their purpose.
